![]() The dining experience is so much more than the food. The MANAGER or OWNER of this establishment (at least he acted like the owner) ruined our experience here!!! Finally, we able to travel and go out for meals with my mother who has been living with alzheimer's disease for the past 4 years and some. The manager had an excellent opportunity to provide his staff with training in this area, so we blame his poor attitude and lack of skills for this overall unpleasant experience. Le Peep will likely be VERY unkind to customers with allergies based on our experience. Really?! Was he not listening or being sarcastic? We discussed this later and firmly believe that after we asked if they could clean one pan to prepare the order, the staff was probably told to ignore us rather than deal with it. Then he turned and said, “Don’t worry, we won’t charge you for the coffee”. He smiled and said, “Then have a nice day” and walked away. Spotted the manager on the way out to make sure the food order was canceled and explain that we had not even received water and coffee. Waited a bit longer, then decided to leave. After a 25-minute wait, we still had not received water or coffee so asked to speak to the manager. In fact, in some cases the chefs will come out and discuss the preparation of the food with us. Keep in mind we eat in restaurants throughout our region and they are able to accommodate our allergy requests. We asked why they couldn’t clean one pan to make the scrambled eggs and the waitress said she didn’t know and simply walked away. When she explained to the cooks about the allergies, they said they were “uncomfortable preparing the order because their cooking pans may be contaminated". ![]() We noticed that the waitstaff was generally very young and our waitress was inexperienced. ![]() Ordered our food describing carefully that one of us had severe food allergies to peppers (including spices made with peppers) and sesame seeds. Received water with lemon, (unnecessary with the Rathdrum Prairie aquifer as our sole source of water) so we requested fresh water without lemon. ![]() After being seated, we ordered 2 waters and one coffee. OK, they were elderly so we really didn’t mind. If you or your children have food allergies, or you expect good service, AVOID this establishment! First issue was that the folks who came in behind us were seated first because the hostess appeared. Made a special trip to CDA to dine at Le Peep.
